Vine Pergola

The Pergola training system comes in several variants influenced by local traditions. In these structures, the canopy is arranged on inclined planes sloping upwards at 15–25°. The pergola is "open" or "closed" depending on whether the inter-row space is partially or fully covered. Ideal for high-altitude vineyards, this method ensures excellent light interception and high-quality yields, but lacks mechanization compatibility.

Closed pergolas are typically constructed using prestressed concrete posts connected by steel cross-arms that support the vegetation wires. On the other hand, open pergolas feature concrete posts paired with a 200 cm wide hot-dip galvanized cross-arm equipped with six wire holders. The canopy is supported by high-strength materials like AISI304 stainless steel or low-stretch zinc-aluminum wire Comavit "PLUS".
